President Leonel Fernandez headed the ribbon cutting Tuesday for the regional office building of the Universal Group of Companies, built a cost of more than RD $800 million.
The seven story building on Duarte avenue in the Villa Olga sector will house the offices of Seguros Universal (insurance), Universal ARS (HRA), and Universal Asistencia.
In his keynote speech, Group president Ernesto Izquierdo said Dominican Republic’s growth and macroeconomic stability spurred his company’s 75 percent growth in the last four year, and hailed Fernandez’s
efficient manner in leading the nation’s destiny.
He said motivation to construct Santiago’s Universal Tower is to raise the quality of their service to clients and associates even more.
The business leader added that Universal spurs the north region’s development plans, including it’s agro sector, tourist complexes, and the small and medium companies which in his view have had important accomplishments in the last three decades.
