Rodriguez raised the need for the summit will devise a national plan for Haiti, to be implemented in the short, medium and long term so that this nation can be economically feasible, reduce the enormous poverty and strengthening the rule in institutional terms.

Creation of the Regional disaster prevention and mitigation commission in the province of Santiago

BREAKING NEWS: Santiago.- In order to guide the population of Santiago and the north of the country, was formed in this city the Regional disaster prevention and mitigation commission in the province of Santiago.

During an activity in the provincial Governor and headed by the representative of the executive branch, Mrs. Nidia Bisonó De Tavarez, and Maj. Gen. Luis Luna Paulino, director of civil defense, was sworn in to the Commission.

The body consists of representatives from different public and private institutions and by the Assistant Director of Civil Defense, Francisco Arias, the representative of the Red Cross and members of the Armed Forces and the Ministry of Public Health.

Other institutions that are part of the important committee is the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (AMET), Environment, EDENORTE, CORAASAN, Education, the State Economic dining, Public Works and Santiago Solidario, among others.

Luna Paulino welcomed the initiative of the governor and congratulated the community of Santiago for having citizens who care about helping those in need of solidarity in difficult times.
