Visitors and passengers must use another entranceBREAKING NEWS: Santiago.- Cibao International Airport reported that the entry to their facilities changed temporarily because of remodelling works developed in order to facilitate public access to this terminal.
He explained that some signs have been placed to facilitate the access of visitors and travelers, so that these changes do not cause any sort of trouble.
A document from the Public Relations department of Santiago Airport indicates that the new entrance is just at the end of the avenue Victor Espaillat Mera and outside the terminal.
He insisted that the change is temporal and apologized with to users for any inconvenience these changes may cause.
He said the remodelling works on the entry and exit are part of a series of investments made in the company, in order to offer to users a better service, while modernizing and increasing the attractiveness of AIC.
Cibao Airport explained that in addition to the construction of the entrance and exit, renovation work will be done in other areas of the main building.

To contribute with the academic training of studentsBREAKING NEWS: Santiago.- The Technological University of Santiago (UTESA), through the Department of Social Communication held on Saturday the First Seminar of the School of Social Communication Utesa 2010
, with the purpose of contributing with the academic training of students.
The activity was headed by the director of the Social Communication School, Candida Diaz, who emphasized the importance of this event in the training of future journalists in the country.
She said that this activity is part of the program developed by the Department of Social Communication UTESA, at the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Journalist
, April the 5th.
For his part the president of Social Communication Committee, Miguel Faletto, who was in charge of production and coordination of the activity said that the First Seminar of the School of Social Communication Utesa 2010
, is the first of several seminars, conferences and meetings that will be held as a way of contributing to students’ academic development.
The first seminar of communication that took place in the East Campus of UTESA was attended by leading media specialists of the Dominican nation as Teo Veras, Miguelina Sabala, Yovanni Matos, Anna Jimenez, Miguel Susana and Fausto Polanco.

By the Dominican Institute of TelecommunicationsBREAKING NEWS: Santiago.- The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel), will open in the coming days, four new Wi-Fi networks in the municipalities of Licey, Baitoa and Tamboril, Santiago de los Caballeros and San Juan de la Maguana, and will expand the networks of Free Internet access in the O & M university, and in the street UTESA Imbert, Moca.
The measure is aimed at expanding coverage and free access to the Internet for the benefit of the Dominican population, especially students and youth in general, indicates a note from the Press Office of Indotel.
Indotel also will open the new recreational club of Dominican College of Journalists (CDP), in Santiago de los Caballeros, and a Training Center Computer Model (CMCI) in Sabaneta, San Juan de la Maguana.
On Tuesday 20th, Indotel will also inaugurate works at the Salesian
Polytechnic.
The Indotel will held a graduation ceremony of young people pursuing technical careers at the Instituto Tecnologico de Las Americas (ITLA). The activity will take place on April 26th at the Teatro Don Bosco de Moca.
The inauguration of Wi Fi systems will take place on the 20th, the 27th and the 30th of this month Baitoa communities, and Licey Tamboril Santiago and San Juan de la Maguana.

Lusa BetancesHospital is inaugurated in the community of Pedro García
It will directly benefit 1,300 poor families in the areaBREAKING NEWS: Santiago.- The Ministry of Health, inaugurated on Tuesday the, Lusa Betances
Hospital in the community of Pedro Garcia with a cost of RD $ 60 million dollars. This health center will directly benefit 1,300 poor families of the area.
The activity was presided by the provincial governor Tavarez Bisonó Nidia and Yadira Perez Dr Pieter, North Central Regional Health Director.
In the community of Pedro García, residents in case of emergency had to be transferred to the city of Santiago to receive medical care. From Tuesday medical works began in the medical center that will also benefit residents of Yásica sector, where about two thousand families live.
The event’s central speech was given by Dr. Pieter Yadira Perez, who highlighted the posthumous tribute that was made by the community to Lusa Betances.
Pieter Perez said that the inauguration of this health center will supply the most important needs of the Pedro Garcia community.
Our agenda is to continue adding more services, culminating with the overall performance of the hospital, not only concerning the physical structure, we also need a good support for a making a great job in the health area
