For the construction of a comedorin Navarrete
BREAKING NEWS : SANTIAGO.- With an investment of 3.9 millions pesos, the Administration of Economical Restaurants of the State
started the works for the construction of a new Comedor Productor
in the municipality of Navarrete.
This one will produce up to 5000 food rations per day.
The administrator of the institution Nicolás Calderón, inaugurated the beginning of the restaurant building that will create dozens of jobs.
He explained that the Administration of Economical Restaurants followed the orders of Leonel Fernández who asked the social institutions to enlarge their presence during this crisis period.
Before the inauguration ceremony, Calderón visited the Los Platanitos Restaurant
, which is being repaired, with an investment of 2.7 millions pesos.
He also headed an operation during which thousands of food rations were distributed, prepared in the new mobile kitchen of the institution.

The Aqueduc and Sewers Corporation of Santiago
The Director of Japan International Cooperation Agency
(JICA), Tadashi Ikeshino visited the Aqueduc and Sewers Corporation of Santiago
(CORAASAN), in order to take cognizance of the improvement project of the sanitary system of Santiago.
The director of the JICA came with Miho Tlayashi, assistant of the Formulation of Environment projects, and Huáscar Peña, of the environment program.
When they arrived to CORAASAN, they were welcomed by the head director of the institution, Hamlet Otáñez, by Atuey Martínez and Yutaka Yokoyama, in charge of the Used Waters and of the engineering sector respectively.
Ikeshino heard the explanations of the CORAASAN technicians about the project of sewage system improvement in Santiago, that will allow to canalize the used waters of the South of the town towards the treatment plant that is being constructed in Arroyo Hondo.
The JICA director walked around to see the El Embrujo
, La Lotería
and Rafey
treatment plants, in order to understand better how they worked.

CDN2 is a national channel, which emits by the Intel Sat1R satellite, with a cover in the Caribbean, in Central America, South America and United States.
We start in Santiago, in the Northern area, because we believe in investments out of the capital of the Republic and that it is time to decentralize

This represents an opportunity for the technicians and the professionals of Santiago and Santo Domingo. It is the first channel which has two studios being able to transmit simultaneously from Santo Domingo and Santiago.
For this, it has two UHF transmitters with radial system installed strategically to the top of the tower of the Popular Bank in the capital for the zone of Santo Domingo and the East area, and in El Mogote, for the Cibao and the North area.

In the Santiago zone BREAKING NEWS: Santiago. -The Legacy Fund of Reformed Enterprises
(FONPER) continues recruiting employees who will evaluate the needs and the projects that could be executed through the Strategic Plan of the Santiago South Zone.
During the close of the workshop-seminary to train the staff, the president of FONPER, Fernando Rosa, emphasized the development that this new project will bring.
Rosa said the FONPER was stimulating what was about to become the true development of urban zones in the Santiago south area, where new national and international investments could be made.
The trained staff will go from house to house in order to establish which are the main needs in education, culture, sport and health.
With this report, the Strategic Plan of the Santiago South Zone will have the informations to stimulate a true program of integral development.
Rosa ensured that the main goal of this operation was to have a Pilot Plan for the Santiago South Zone, that will be an example for other sectors that want to develop their ideas.

A new structure will be builtBREAKING NEWS: The Ministry of Public Works began the demolition of the bridge in the community of Las Lavas, on the Joaquin Balaguer highway, because of damage affecting the structure and which obliged the suspension of the traffic by this way.
One will build a new structure with an investment of 145 million pesos.
The bridge underwent a collapse of the central pillars during the strong downpours of last February.
To demolish the old bridge, technicians first inspected the structure and then returned a report in which they recommended that the bridge of Las Lavas is demolished because it presented cracks which could endanger the people who cross it.
The Ministry of Public Works estimates that by its width and its importance, the new bridge of Las Lavas will not be terminated before several months.
The bridge of Las Lavas is located by the commune of Villa González and the collapse was due to the intense rain falls which undermined the bases of the pillars because of the quantity of water and the force of the water flow.
Las Lavas is a bridge with double track, located on the road Navarrete-Santiago-Santiago Navarrete. The damage occurred only in the direction Navarrete- Santiago.
During the construction of the new bridge, the vehicles which circulate by this zone will be deviated on the Santiago-Navarrete way, which will be a double way during this period.
